Presented by Canada Rockz Productions

FEBRUARY 22nd 23rd & 24th

Artists for Australia was a series of benefit shows to assist in the rehabilitation and care for the animals in Australia.

All donations went towards the Koalas in Care and WIRES funds.

ARTISTS FOR AUSTRALIA started out as an idea from Rachel Jean. In total there were 6 venues in 4 provinces that took place.

Here are pictures from The Music Hall Concert Theatre and The Rockpile.

As each band donated their time, each venue opened its doors, and the sound and lighting engineers made the magic sound great. The patrons showed up, and the bands played.

Devoted fans were out in full force at six venues in four provinces, with one cause - ARTISTS FOR AUSTRALIA.

The shows took place on February 22, 23 and February 24. Bands performed every genre, including rock, hard rock, pop, blues and alternative music and had open jams for musicians to join others. Watching patrons sing the songs while the bands were playing, or dancing to "Open Arms" showed how music was the common reason that everyone was there supporting the cause.

In Australia, Elton John, Rick Springfield, Queen with Adam Lambert, Keith Urban and many more donated money. Now thanks to Canada Rockz Productions, the total given to Koalas in Care Inc and WIRES was just shy of $10,000! WOW!
