Foreigner & Journey

August 9, 2011  Molson Ampitheatre, Toronto  Ontario

                                                                                                                                                                                                    Review by Michael Oshust

When Journey brought their Eclipse tour through Toronto, they proved they can rock.  The stop was in support of the group's fourteenth studio album Eclipse with special guests Foreigner and Night Ranger for most of the North American dates.  The Eclipse Tour concert tour was the 18th highest-grossing concert tour of 2011 bringing in $39,069,939.

From the very first song to the classic guitar driven Juke Box Hero, Foreigner played with passion and fury. Highlights included the soulful saxophone playing of Mark Rivera during Urgent.  Journey followed starting with the driven Separate Ways showcasing the vocals of Arnel Pineda.  Neal Schon proved he knows the fretboard well with improvised guitar solos and plenty of smiles.
