“This album represents a journey through my life, and the idea behind a lot of these songs is me trying to figure out who I am, and why I’m doing what I’m doing," Rik Emmett says.

Opening with "Stand Still", I feel it was the right track to begin the album with. The ballad "I Sing" features James LaBrie of Dream Theater (who is Canadian) and reminds me of Rik's "When a Heart Breaks".  The Ghost of Shadow Town is reminiscent of "Young Enough to Cry" from the TRIUMPH album Just A Game.

Highlights of the album include a reunion of all TRIUMPH members on "Grand Parade" and RUSH guitarist Alex Lifeson appearing on "Human Race" and on "End of the Line".

Overall this album is strong from track 1 to track 11. Once again Rik Emmett shines on this blues rock oriented album.

Music Speaks Louder sat down with Rik Emmett & Dave Dunlop to talk about the album (full interview is here).
