Phil Collins touched down in Toronto as part of his “Not Dead Yet Tour," and he pleased all 20,000 that were in attendance. The 80's hitmaker mentioned his troubles over the years (a back operation and a f***ed-up foot") before he sat down in a swiveling black leather office chair.

Accompanied by 14 musicians, including longtime guitarist Daryl Stuermer, and his son Nicholas on drums, there was barely time to get over one singalong before another began. Opening with Against All Odds, Collins quickly moved into a higher gear with Genesis classics such as Invisible Touch, which included a montage of Genesis videos in the background. The show had uptempo numbers like You Can’t Hurry Love, Dance Into the Light, Easy Lover & Sussudio.

The younger Nicholas Collins proved nepotism wasn’t the only reason he was up onstage while engaging in a lengthy drum battle with percussionist Richie Garcia. Then the pair moved to the front of the stage to conduct a little hand-percussion three-way before Nicholas fled back to the kit to start “Something Happened on the Way to Heaven.” Phil later explained that, in prepping for this tour, his son had gone back through his catalog and "found a song he liked." Nicholas joined his dad on piano for Face Value’s “You Know What I Mean".

Phil's backup singers were all phenomenal! "Separate Lives" featured Phil singing with Bridgete Bryant, and "Easy Lover" featured both Arnold McCuller and Amy Keys. Phil stood for the haunting opening of "In The Air Tonight" and Nicholas nailed the crucial drum roll at the moment where “In the Air Tonight” finally kicks in sending all 20,000 in attendance to applause frantically.

Phil finished the show with "Take Me Home," and he showed everyone in attendance how much he loves singing. In the end, Phil Collins delivered a fantastic show.  His voice, the band & the backup singers were all 10/10!!!
